I design interactive tools that support children's thinking through making.
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT), Simon Fraser University, working with Dr. Alissa Antle on an SSHRC-funded project on children's AI critical literacy. I received my Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Georgia Tech, advised by Dr. HyunJoo Oh.
My work sits at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Educational Technology, and Co-design. In my Ph.D., I built physical and tangible computing toolkits that let young people ideate, prototype, and evaluate their own technology ideas, moving back and forth between building and reflection. My current work looks at how AI can support children's making and thinking.
My work appears at CHI, IDC, TEI, and the CoDesign journal, and has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF #2053160) and SSHRC.
